Who’s running the competition?
ActionAid Australia, of Floor 2, Suite 2, 100 Mallett Street, Camperdown NSW 20150
Who can enter?
This promotion is only open to legal residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or over. You can’t enter this promotion if you (or your immediate families or housemates) are employed by ActionAid, Intrepid Travel or their subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
How do I enter?
This is a skills-based competition. To enter, visit www.womenmovemountains.com and tell us in 25 words or less how you think “women move mountains.” You will be required to enter your full name, a valid email address and a phone number to submit an entry into the competition. No purchase necessary. You can enter between 4 September at 09:00 AEST and 30 September at 23:59 AEST.
You may only enter the competition once. Incomplete entries and mechanical reproduction of multiple entries are not permitted.
How do you pick the winner?
The twenty-five (25) finalists, who get the largest number of people from their networks to register to the Women Move Mountains competition, will be put forward to have their submissions reviewed by the panel, the judges will then decide on a winner. You should share your entry widely and try to recruit as many people as possible to be in with a chance to be in the final.
A winner will be selected from the twenty-five finalists by a panel of judges who determine the finalist who best answered the question “How do think women Move Mountains?” Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be announced on October 1st 2016. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. ActionAid or Intrepid Travel can cancel or modify the promotion if there are compelling technical or administrative reasons which we cannot control. If that happens, ActionAid will determine a winner from the eligible entries received at that time.
What can I win?
The winner will received an Intrepid travel gift certificate valued at AUD $10,000, which may be used to join the Solidarity Trek up Mount Kilimanjaro from 10 to 16 October 2016 if the winner so chooses. Otherwise, the prize must be used by 31 October, 2017. The winner must ensure that they read, understand and adhere to all requirements of travel to participate in an Intrepid Travel trip and will be responsible for any additional costs and/or costs not covered by the intrepid gift certificate, which may include flights or gear for certain types of trips.
How do I find out if I won?
ActionAid will contact the winner by telephone by October 3rd, 2016. In the event that the selected winner is deemed invalid, the prize will not be won by the invalid winner and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining (non-winning) eligible finalist entries. If ActionAid does not receive confirmation from the selected within 10 days of being awarded the prize, the prize will be considered forfeited and another winner will be selected from amongst the finalists.
If you do win...
The prize is not exchangeable and cash will not be awarded in lieu. Spending money, meals, travel taxes, trip kitties, travel insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transfers and all other ancillary costs (as well as obtaining any of these) not specified in the prize inclusions are the responsibility of the winner.
